Last updated: 22 October 2026
This page explains what data is handled by the website thebehindtheprice.com and by BehindThePrice Uploader, the private publishing tool behind the YouTube channels Behind the Price, Detrás del Precio, Hinter dem Preis and Derrière le Prix. Both are run by Behind the Price.
This website
- The website sets no cookies, has no account system and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
- To show the pages, your browser loads fonts from Google Fonts and video thumbnails from YouTube (i.ytimg.com). Those services receive your IP address as part of normal web traffic, under their own privacy policies.
- The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard connection data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
- Links to YouTube take you to YouTube, where Google's privacy policy applies.
BehindThePrice Uploader
BehindThePrice Uploader is used only by Behind the Price to manage its own YouTube channels. It is not offered to the public and has no other users.
With the owner's permission through Google sign-in, it uses these Google API scopes:
- youtube.upload and youtube.force-ssl: to upload videos, thumbnails and subtitles and to update titles, descriptions, playlists, publishing times and channel branding on the owner's channels.
- yt-analytics.readonly: to read view counts, watch time and traffic sources for a private daily report.
- Data is used only to publish and manage the owner's own videos and to produce reports for the owner.
- Sign-in tokens and statistics are stored only on the owner's own computer and are not uploaded to any other server.
- No data is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
- The app does not access other people's YouTube accounts, comments or personal data.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. By using YouTube features you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; see also the Google Privacy Policy.
Revoking access and deleting data
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the local token files removes all stored access.
